Recently, the International Electrotechnical Commission for Conformity Testing and Certification of Electrical Equipment (IECEE) appointed a reassessment expert group to conduct a two-day on-site CB laboratory reassessment at FQII.The reassessment is the eighth CB testing laboratory reassessment since FQII joined the IECEE-CB system in 2004. The expert group conducted a comprehensive and detailed  reassessment on quality management system operation, testing technical capabilities, personnel competence, equipment management, experimental environment and report quality, etc. of FQII in accordance with relevant rules of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and IECEE, highly recognized the quality system and the technical capabilities, and unanimously agreed that FQII passed the  reassessment.

    After the reassessment, the scope of CB certification authorization at FQII has been expanded to eight categories, specifically including: information technology and office equipment (OFF), low-voltage high-powder switchgear (POW), installation protection equipment (PROT), safety transformers and similar equipment (SAFE), electronic entertainment equipment (TRON), information technology and audio-video (ITAV), electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and household and similar equipment (HOUS). Among them, relevant standards of household and similar equipment (HOUS) have been included in the CB certification scope for the first time, marking a significant breakthrough in the testing capabilities of FQII in the field.

    The expansion will further enhance the service capability of “one-time testing, multiple-country acceptance” at FQII, and multiple certificates such as CCC, CB and CE for relevant electronic and electrical products tested by FQII can be simultaneously obtained, which significantly reduces the testing cost and cycles during the product export process for the enterprises, and provides more efficient and convenient technical support and service guarantee for the development of the international market for the electronic and electrical industry across the province and even nationwide.
